IS THIS A DRIVE THRU VACCINE SITE?

No, you will enter the CFSB center to receive the vaccine. You will be parking in one of two lots next to the CFSB Center. There is handicap parking available. The vaccine area is at ground level and you will not be using any stairs inside the facility. If you park in the secondary lot, there are a small number of stairs leading from the parking lot to the entrance at CFSB. The process has been designed to maintain social distancing.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?

Typically, 25-30 minutes. It is important that you show up no more than 30 minutes prior to your appointment time to make sure that there is not a long check in line. Appointments are scheduled every 15 minutes, which allows for adequate parking to be available and for the appointments to be completed quickly.

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY SECOND SHOT?

You will receive the second dose of Moderna approximately 28 days (4 weeks) from the date you receive your first injection. You will be scheduled for an appointment at the same time of day that you received your first dose. You will receive an email and or text message confirming the second appointment once your information has been entered into the KY Immunization registry.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

You will not be charged for the vaccine. Vaccination sites are allowed to ask for insurance information and bill your insurance. This would still be at no cost to you. At this time, in order to ensure people do not have to wait at the vaccination site, we are not collecting or billing insurance information.

WHY IS THE VACCINE SITE ONLY OPEN 1 DAY PER WEEK?

Based on the number of vaccines that we are receiving each week, the site is able to administer all received doses in one day. As more vaccine becomes available, additional days may be added. There are multiple locations in the region with appointments available. Kentucky Residents are encouraged to utilize any available provider that has appointments convenient for you.

HOW MANY VACCINES CAN BE GIVEN AT THE MURRAY REGIONAL VACCINE CENTER?

This location was designed to provide 200 vaccinations per hour – while ensuring adequate parking and proper social distancing for a safe and efficient environment. In an 8 hour day, we could vaccinate 1600 people. The amount of vaccines we give per day is still limited by the available supply.

IS THERE A NUMBER I CAN CALL IF I HAVE QUESTIONS OR NEED HELP?

Yes, you can call (270) 762-1197 and leave a message. Due to large call volumes please allow at least 24 hours for someone to return your call.
